DOOMSDAY FAUST
Dramaturg and Script Construction
A postmodern collage that reimagines Marlowe's tragic hero as an ambitious businessman who strikes a deal with the devil to become the most magical and powerful leader on the world stage. However, Faustus's doomsday, as well as our own, is just on the horizon. I worked with playwright, Jimmy Bernatowicz, to finalize the structure and text used, I found and pulled source text, and translated Marlowe's text into a modern language for the character of Faustus.

AUTONOMY IN ASSAULT
Script Construction
A one woman show built out of interviews with sexual assault survivors, "Autonomy in Assault" explores tragedy and strength in the aftermath of assault. The script intertwines the accounts of survivors into a poignant conversation hosted by Autonomy. I arranged the text of the interviews, developed characters, and structured the action of the script with the creator, Erica Withrow.

OEDIPUS APPARATUS
Research, Structural Development
NOMINEE Best New Play, St Louis Theatre Circle Awards 2018

Tragedy is a well oiled machine. Oedipus Rex manipulated and remoulded, the whole story a tragic family tree for Antigone's school project. An exploration of the inescapability of fate and the arbitrariness of our own choices when the tragic machine has been on the track of destruction for generations. I compiled found texts, discovered the script's structure parallelled a Rube Goldberg, helped develop characters (the presence of Antigone and the panel of the Gods with Sigmund Freud), and outlined the family tree of the cursed House of Laius with director and creator Lucy Cashion.

AS YOU LIKE IT
Dramaturg; Language Specialist, Historical Context
One of Shakespeare's most beloved romantic comedies. Playful, passionate and enchanting, the topsy-turvy tale of Rosalind and Orlando is chock-full of outlandish characters and some of
Shakespeare's greatest lines. Full of wit, wisdom and warmth, it's the perfect play for anyone who's ever been in love. I held post in the rehearsal hall, clarifying language, references, cultural context, and blank verse for the actors and director.
